Coronavirus Post

The Water Resources Department continues to monitor the Coronavirus as it evolves throughout the country and Ohio.  According to the Center for Disease Control and  Water Environment Federation, currently, there is no evidence on the survival of the COVID-19 virus in drinking water or wastewater.   We know water is essential to good health and hygiene.  Below are a few helpful links concerning staying healthy and things you can do to protect the environment.

Wash Your Hands – According to the CDC, handwashing is one of the best ways to protect you & your family from getting sick.  Link to How and When to Wash your Hands.

DO NOT FLUSH WIPES – Think twice after you use disinfecting wipes and DO NOT FLUSH them down the toilet.  Also, so-called flushable wipes are not flushable.  Think about your wallet before you flush wipes, it could cost you thousands of dollars in repairs.  GROSS news story about what is happening in Washington DC.

Water Storage – FEMA recommends you prepare yourself by building a supply of water that will meet your family’s needs during an emergency.  For more: ready.gov/water
